Arrests
A Meade Avenue women, 23, a Johnston Street man, 18, and an Ada Avenue man, 24, were charged with drug abuse and illegal assembly and manufacturing of drugs. Police arrested the three after stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation and finding a methamphetamine lab in the trunk.
A Minota Avenue man, 32, was charged with felonious assault, domestic violence, menacing and unlawful restraint after he allegedly assaulted someone, breaking several bones in the face and causing a concussion.
A Greenwood Avenue man, 24, was charged with receiving stolen property, forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was arrested while allegedly trying to cash a stolen check at Check Smart on South Arlington Street. A search of his vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and another check reported stolen, police said.
A man, 24, was charged with rape after a woman told police he forced his way into her apartment, assaulted her and forced her to drive him away.
A South Hawkins Avenue man, 18, was charged with attempted burglary after he allegedly tried to break into a home in the 500 block of Fernwood Avenue by opening a rear window.
A Clifford Avenue man, 21, was charged with aggravated robbery after he allegedly took a woman’s purse at gunpoint.
A Delia Avenue man, 41, was charged with aggravated robbery, escape, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. He is accused of holding a knife to a man’s neck and stealing his wallet, cell phone and car. Police said he fled after fighting with officers who stopped him.
A Manchester Road man, 27, was charged with domestic violence, burglary and telephone harassment. He has a previous conviction for domestic violence from 2007.
A Marcy Street woman, 20, was charged with felonious assault after she allegedly tried to run down a woman with her car.
A Zahn Drive man, 26, was charged with domestic violence. He had a previous conviction for domestic violence from 2004.
A Belleflower Road man, 74, was charged with driving under the influence and failing to control a motor vehicle. Police said he was involved in a crash on Interstate 76 at state Route 59. He had five previous convictions for driving under the influence.
A Coach Lane man, 20, was charged with receiving stolen property after police reported finding him in a vehicle reported stolen.
An Eighth Street man, 34, was charged with receiving stolen property after police reported finding him in a vehicle reported stolen.
An Adelaide Avenue man, 23, was charged with forgery after he allegedly traded a fake $20 bill for two $10 bills.
A Coastline Road man, 20, was charged with burglary after he allegedly stole a dirt bike from a garage in the 2500 block of Ridgewood Road.
Two Concord Avenue men were charged with felonious assault after they allegedly punched and kicked someone, breaking bones.

An Akron woman was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure Nov. 18 after she allegedly fired a gun at a Barberton home.
A Harter Avenue man was charged with felonious assault Nov. 21 after he allegedly threatened someone with a shotgun.

Someone broke into the blacksmith shop overnight Nov. 20 at Hale Farm and Village, 2686 Oak Hill Road.
Theft
Medication was reported stolen Nov. 18 from a Vesper Street clinic.

Arrests
A Conestoga Trail man was charged with felony domestic violence Nov. 23 after he allegedly assaulted a member of his household.
A woman was charged with domestic violence Nov. 23 after she allegedly assaulted a member of her household.
An Akron man was charged with robbery Nov 17 after he allegedly assaulted security officers while trying to flee a store with shoplifted goods.
A Barberton man was charged with tampering with evidence Nov. 20.

A Revere Drive man, 41, was charged with two counts of child endangering Nov. 18 after he allegedly left his daughters, 3 and 5, in his 2005 Ford Escape while he shopped at the Giant Eagle on Graham Road.
A Munroe Falls man, 26, of Munroe Falls Avenue, was charged with theft Nov. 19 after he allegedly stole scrap metal from G&S Steel in the 3400 block of Cavalier Trail.
Robbery
A Curtis Avenue man, 26, reported Nov. 16 that a man forced his way into his vehicle at gunpoint. The man told police his 4-month-old son was inside the car when the man pointed a gun at him and demanded he drive him to an ATM where he withdrew $40 and gave it to the man. He said he drove to Herron Road in Stow where the man fled.
A Buckingham Gate man, 22, reported Nov. 16 that a woman entered his apartment through an unlocked door and threatened him with a switchblade knife. He said the woman took $800 from his bedroom and fled.

A Cleveland woman, 49, was charged with theft, possession of a drug abuse instrument and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 22. She is accused of stealing a $575 leather jacket from Dillard’s at Summit Mall. Police reported finding two syringes and a metal spoon in her pocket.
A former Dillard’s employee, 23, was charged with theft Nov. 17 after allegedly making three fraudulent returns amounting to nearly $100 and putting the money on a gift card. The theft was discovered when a customer who bought merchandise used in one of the phony transactions returned that merchandise to the store.
A Kent man, 20, was charged with receiving stolen property Nov. 20 after he was stopped on South Miller Road riding a dirt bike that was stolen from the 2500 block of Ridgewood Road.

Forty sweaters, total value $1,600, were reported stolen Nov. 19 from The Limited store in Summit Mall.

Someone used pumpkins to smash several mailboxes Nov. 18 in the 5700 block of Nicholson Drive.
New Franklin
Arrest
A West Nimisila Road man, 31, was charged with domestic violence, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct Nov. 11 after he allegedly threatened his wife.
Burglaries
A West Comet Road woman told police Nov. 12 that a jar containing $700 in coins was stolen.
A 7-mm rifle and scope, total value $3,500, were reported stolen Nov. 11 from a home on Rex Lake Road.
Breaking and entering
An air compressor and other equipment, total value $775, were reported stolen Nov. 8 from the garage on Manchester Road.
Identification fraud
A Manchester Road resident told police Nov. 16 that someone used her Social Security number to open a credit account through GE Capital and charged $700.

Arrest
A man, 30, was charged with domestic violence, unlawful restraint, disrupting public service and carrying a concealed weapon Nov. 20. He is accused of assaulting his father, tearing out phone lines and blocking him from leaving the home.
Burglary
Someone broke into a home in the 3900 block of Wadsworth Road and stole a handgun and jewelry Nov. 18.
Springfield Township
Arrests
A Laverne Lane man, 40, was charged with felony domestic violence Nov. 11 after he allegedly grabbed his teen son by the hair, threw him to the ground and kicked him. A younger son told police that his father grabbed him by the hair, threw him into a hallway and kneed him twice.
A Twin Lakes Drive man, 60, was charged with aggravated menacing and telephone harassment Nov. 12 after he allegedly threatened to kill a Lessig Avenue man accused of beating up the Twin Lakes Drive man’s girlfriend.
A Columbine Avenue man, 27, was charged with domestic violence after he allegedly threw a microwave oven at his grandmother.
Kidnap attempt
A Hilbish Avenue woman reported Nov. 11 that a man she had seen looking in her bedroom window for two days entered the home and tried to kidnap her, but she fought him off.
Burglary
A safe containing valuable papers was reported stolen Nov. 17 from a home on Sanitarium Road.
Misuse of a credit card
A Lakemore resident reported Nov. 14 that her debit card information was used 11 times without her permission to withdraw $1,126 from her account.

An Echo Valley Drive man, 19, was charged with endangering children Oct. 17 in the 2400 block of Echo Valley Drive after he allegedly left a 3-year-old child alone at his home.
A Vira Road man, 26, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 15 after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

A West Main Street woman, 20, was charged with receiving stolen property Nov. 17 after she allegedly tried to sell a stolen PlayStation 3 video game system to a secondhand store.
A Third Street man, 45, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 15 after he allegedly tried to strike his mother with a brick.

A Salway Avenue Southwest man, 32, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 16 after he allegedly pushed down his wife during a quarrel.

A Pleasant Court Northwest girl, 16, was charged with assault and released to a parent Nov. 11 after she allegedly punched a schoolmate, 17.

Copper pipes valued at $500 were reported stolen Nov. 9 after entry was forced into a Glenwood Street Southwest home.
Copper pipes valued at $2,050 were reported stolen Nov. 7 from an Everhard Road Southwest home.

Someone broke onto a vacant Donner Avenue Southwest home Nov. 11 and stole $1,100 worth of copper plumbing from the basement.

A Kent resident left her purse in a West Maple Street restroom. When she returned, the purse and contents, total value $620, were missing.

A Zanesville man, 36, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal damaging Nov. 14 after he allegedly broke down an apartment door on Blake Avenue Northwest, damaged items inside and took clothing.
A 17th Street Northwest man, 35, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 12 after he allegedly punched, slapped and choked his girlfriend.

Breaking and entering
Someone broke a window Nov. 17 at Country Hilltop Market, 9696 Benner Road, Milton Township. Nothing was missing, but damage was estimated at $200.
A gold coin valued at $150 was reported stolen Nov. 18 from a home in the first block of Silver Pond Drive, East Union Township.
A laptop computer, two rifles and jewelry, total value $6,400, were reported stolen Nov. 16 from a home in the 6300 block of Millbrook Road, Clinton Township.

A Chippewa Township woman, 31, reported Nov. 20 that her boyfriend assaulted her in the 18500 block of Edwards Road, Chippewa Township.

Someone broke into the roof of Dino’s Drive Thru, 429 E. Liberty St. causing $500 in damages Nov. 20.
Someone took keys Nov. 20 and entered a storage garage in the 200 block of Branstetter Street.
Forgery
A Beall Avenue woman, 67, reported Nov. 19 that someone used her missing debit card to purchase $446 in goods from several Wooster stores.
Identity fraud
A High Street man, 61, reported Nov. 19 that someone used his Social Security number to switch his utilities.
